About Energy Power Resources Limited
Energy Power Resources Ltd (EPRL) is a pioneer within the field of renewable energy. It operates the existing Thetford Power Station, which has been burning biomass in the form of poultry litter since 1999. Thetford Power Station generates 38.5MWe of electricity and employs 36 permanent staff.
The EPRL business was established in the late 1980s and has one of the largest and most diverse portfolios of renewable energy power stations in the UK. In 2007/08 it generated over 5% of the UK's Renewables Obligation electricity from its five biomass fuelled power stations, with a combined capacity of 112.5MW.
Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund (MEIF) acquired the Energy Power Resources Group of companies in 2005. Energy Power Resources Ltd (EPRL) currently operates the existing Thetford Power Station and would also operate the proposed development

EPRL's existing biomass power plants in Thetford, Ely, Eye, Westfield and Glanford burn a selection of biomass fuels including straw and poultry litter. EPR also has a 50% share in Ovenden and Royd Moor wind farms in Yorkshire, which have a combined capacity of 15.7MWe.
