Jobs and economy
Thetford Renewable Energy Plant would benefit the local area by providing around 120 jobs per day during the construction period and up to 36 permanent jobs when operational.
EPRL already employs 36 people at Thetford Power Station, with the majority living within 30 miles of the station. It is estimated that Thetford Power Station also supports around 75 other local businesses for supply and delivery of poultry litter.
The new renewable energy plant would provide an opportunity for EPRL to increase its permanent workforce and there would also be opportunities to extend the use of local suppliers, including lorry drivers, waste management firms and maintenance contractors.
